Bobby Lynn Fry, 76, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 1:44 PM on Monday, November 20, 2017 in his residence.

Mr. Fry was born October 25, 1941 in Jacksboro, TX to J. W. “Hoopie” and Ella Mae Whitsitt Fry. He graduated from Midway High School in 1960 and served his country for six years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army National Guard from 1963-1969. During his military stint, he graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1968. He owned and operated Burgess-Fry Funeral Home and worked as the local Coroner. Mr. Fry also was a Shriner and Free Mason with the Lodge of Blue Grove, where he was a fifty year member. He also volunteered as a fireman, raised thoroughbred Beefmaster cattle and following his retirement worked as a bus driver. After moving to Sulphur five years ago, he worked for CARC where he drove a bus. Mr. Fry loved listening to country and gospel music and was an avid Texas Rangers fan. He also enjoyed reading his bible regularly and had a devoted prayer life.

Mr. Fry is survived by his fiancée, Brenda Ford of Lake Charles; daughters, Janet Mahzi and Donna Kay Evans; son, Brent Fry; sister, Susan Broussard; brother, Ross Fry; and nephews, Gary Parish and wife Darline and Mike Fry; nieces, Debbie Haymark and husband Joe, Tammy Nyokus and husband Bud, and Connie Romines and husband Dobie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Lance Broussard.

His graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hayes Cemetery.
