Bathsheba Cooper was the first wife of Eli Graves and was the mother of his first nine children. Her father was Lamberton Cooper, a Revolutionary War soldier, who was at the Lexington Alarm. His parents were Dr. Lamberton Cooper and Bathsheba Chapin. Her mother was Dorcas Jennings, daughter of Benjamin Jennings and Elizabeth Gilbert.
