Funeral services for Robert "Reagan" William Bates, 63, of Buna will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Knupple Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bates died March 17, 2007 at Harbor Hospital of Southeast Texas in Orange.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Robert was a longtime resident of this area. He was a welder in the construction field.
Mr. Bates was preceded in death by his wife Bitha Ann Goins Bates, his parents M. L. Bates, Jr. and Ruth and brother Ricky Bates.
Survivors include his sister Dorothy Brandenburg of Buna; brother Ronnie Bates of Rose City; a niece and nephew whom he raised as his own, Michelle Bush of Vidor and Michael Brandenburg and wife Ember of Beaumont; in addition to other nieces and nephews, Jesica, Lindsey, Kellie, David and Bobby Bates, Christy Waters and Waylin Schuman; great niece Cayleigh Brandenburg of Beaumont and many other great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
