Funeral services for Mr. Hood Arthur Anders, 95, will be at 11:00 a.m., December 6, 2004 at the Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ, Ruston, Louisiana with interment to follow at the Old Zeigler Cemetery. Reverend Denise Anders-Modest will officiate. Mr. Anders was a faithful member of Young Chapel C.M.E. Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5, 2004 from 6-7 p.m. at the Young Chapel C.M.E. Church.
Mr. Anders was born in Eros, Louisiana, June 24, 1909 to the late Arthur and Padie Anders. He entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, Louisiana after a lengthy illness.
He leaves to cherish his memory three sons: Otha Anders and wife Maxine of Ruston, LA, Charles H. Anders and wife Eloise of Kansas City, MO, Larry D. Anders and wife Gail of Shreveport, LA; one daughter, Laura Hunter and husband Walter of Ruston,LA; one brother, Casey Anders, Sr. and wife Maylean of Eros, LA; one daughter-in-law, Bettye Anders of Ruston, LA; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
