Curtis M. Thompson, 81, of Houston died Saturday, December 12 at Northwest Hospital in Houston.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 16 at 2 p.m. in Rosewood Funeral Chapel in Humble. His grandsons were honorary pallbearers.
He was a native of Kirbyville and had lived in the Houston area 50 years. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his wife, Mirtie Thompson of Houston; sons, Lloyd Thompson of Silsbee, Gary Thompson of Orlando, Florida, and Randy Thompson of Channelview; daughters, Virginia McDonald of Abilene, Essie Marie Lee of Buna, Jean Cockerham of Houston, Linda Williams of Bellville, Nancy Strong of Houston, and Cheryl Ware of Spring; sisters. Ruby Wilson of Kirbyville and Verdie Wilson of West Orange; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
