Barbara Ellen Parker, 60, of Cantonment, FL passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at her home.
Barbara was born in El Paso, Texas September 5, 1957; graduated from Tate High School, Gonzalez, Florida, and attended Pensacola Junior College. Previously she worked contract services at Saufley Field Naval Base. Her career spanned over 20 years working for the Navy as a Civil Service Employee. Musically inclined, she sang in school and church choirs all her life. She played the organ and was choir director for Grace Lutheran Church, Pensacola, FL and Trinity Lutheran Church, Cantonment, FL. She was also involved with Pensacola Little Theatre for many years and was an avid animal lover.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Elmer and Bessie Clontz Brewer.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Richard Parker; brothers, James Brewer (Sheri) and John Brewer (DeAnn); sisters, Linda Reynolds (Dave Swanda), Pam Youngstrom (Jim) and Carol Shockey (Will); 16 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and grandnephews; many many friends from church, the navy family and Pensacola Little Theatre.
Memorials may be made either to Trinity Lutheran Church, Navy Relief, Pensacola Little Theatre or Diabetes Association.
Memorial service will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2385 Hwy 297A, Cantonment, FL.at 12:00 p.m.
