Michael N. Carter – 59
of Lenox passed away October 24, 2017 in Colquitt Regional Medical Center. He was born in Valdosta on November 24, 1957 to the late Robbie N. & Beverly (Yeomans) Carter. He was a retired Georgia Waste Water Treatment Operator for Tift County, GA. He was currently working as a security guard. He was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center. He loved attending and participating in “Old Timey Gospel Sings”. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Max Carter.
Survivors Include: Wife, Judy Carter, Lenox; Son: Steven Carter, Valdosta; Step Daughters: Mary Ellen Thompson, Lenox, Kendall Tucker, Omega; Kristen Feagin, Tifton; 6 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; Brother & Sister-in-law: Marty & Kathy Carter, Lake Park; Mother-in-law: Mary Harrell, Lenox and a number of nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, October 26, 2017 in the Bethel Church of God, 243 Bethel Church Rd., Lake Park, GA. In lieu of flowers please make donations to New Beginnings Worship Center c/o Michael Carter Fund, 5655 Fire Tower Road, Enigma, GA 31749. A benefit gospel sing is planned for Friday, October 27, 2017 at 7:00 PM at New Beginnings Worship Center, 551 Brookfield Turner Road, Enigma, GA.
