Maryln Gay Wheat (Crim), 73, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born April 18, 1944, in Tulip, Mo., the daughter of Everett and Violett Crim, both of whom preceded her in death.

On May 11, 1965, Maryln married the love of her life, Ernest Wheat, whom also preceded her in death, along with two sisters, three brothers and one grandson.

Maryln was not only a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, she was also not afraid to get her hands dirty. While raising their four daughters, she also helped her husband run their auto dismantlers business for many years, until finally retiring back to their home state in 1995.

Survivors include their four daughters: Sherry Faulkner of Jefferson City, Rose Blair (Andy) of California, Jackie Gaustad of Jefferson City, and Brenda Wheat of Jefferson City; one sister: Helen Johnston of Madison; two sisters-in-law of Castro Valley, Calif.; two sons-in-law: Richard Barstad of Jefferson City, and Thomas Faulkner of Oakland, Calif.; 16 grandchildren: William Blair of Holts Summit, Melissa Faulkner of Jefferson City, Ernest Blair of California, Christina Gaustad of Auburn, Calif., Thomas (Natasha) Faulkner Jr. of Henley, Jeremy Gaustad of New Orleans, La., Amanda (Curtis) Quinn of Jefferson City, Shelby Faulkner of Jefferson City, Amber (Kenneth) Gleason of Jefferson City, Miguel Blair (April) of California, Nathan Wheat of Jefferson City, Erica Wheat of Jefferson City, Sarah Wheat of Jefferson City, and Darla Gaustad of Contra Costa, Calif.; 28 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited for a Memorial at Maryln's home at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Burial of Maryln and Ernest Wheat will be at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison, Mo. at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
