Born in Bristol, Claude was a lifelong resident of Lower Bucks County and graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1988.
She was dedicated to her career working as an x-ray technician at both Mobilex USA and St. Mary Medical Center.
Claude loved to travel and enjoyed going to the islands or anywhere there was sangria and flip flops. She also loved to spend time with her friends, especially George and Diana Wallace.
Claude cherished the times spent with her family and especially loved spending time with her niece, Breanna, and her brother-in-law, John.
She loved shopping and cooking. She also loved the holdays. Claude loved to decorate her house to the fullest for all of the holidays for everyone to enjoy.
Claude always put others before herself, even while battling cancer. She never wanted to ask others for help. She was strong willed and independent and battled this disease for over two and a half years. Her friend and neighbor, Donna, was always there when she needed her.
The beloved wife of Michael M. Dovidio for eight years, Claude is survived by her loving parents, Henry and Cecelia Smulski, and her siblings, Nicole Hoffman (Mark) and Christopher Smulski. She was the devoted aunt of Breanna Chandler and the sister-in-law of Edward Dovidio and John Dovidio.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and George Simon, and her in-laws, Gerald and Lillian Dovidio.
Family and friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until noon on Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
