Brought up in Hephzibah, GA, Jessica was a graduate of Hephzibah High School and Southern Barber College in Augusta, GA. She was a hairstylist.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband of 12 years, Joseph Allen “Joey” Broughton, of Mayo, daughter Jayme Lee Mayton of Augusta, GA, and son Hunter Rhodes of Evans, GA, father- and mother-in-law Allen and Sheilah Broughton of Mayo, adoptive parents and brother Jim, Joyce, and Ricky Mayton, brother Mark Parker, and maternal grandmother Margie Bower, all of Augusta, GA, sister Cynthia Parker of Evans, GA, brothers-in-law and their wives Ben and Dee Broughton and Nathan and Brittany Broughton, all of Mayo, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Jessica in death were her parents, her sister, April Parker, and her maternal grandfather, Pete Bower.
She is remembered as being a kind, giving woman who was blessed with a generous spirit who devoted much of her time and talents to bringing sunshine into the lives of others less fortunate than she.
She leaves quite a legacy.
