Eunice Buck Adams
SIMPSON - Mrs. Eunice Buck Adams, 88, died Monday, August 20, 2018.
The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 AM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel, officiated by her pastor, Rev. James Ed Gurkins. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park with her nephews serving as Pallbearers.
Mrs. Adams, a native of Pitt County, was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Stella Gaskins Buck. She was raised in the Hopewell Church community on Mills Road, where she lived for most of her life. For the past 19 years she had made her home in the Simpson community. She was a member of the Black Jack Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for over 50 years. She also enjoyed sewing for several friends and family in the community for many years, as well as doing wedding work at the College Shop for a short period of time.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer E. Adams, grandson, Tom Williams, and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her: daughter, Barbara Williams and husband, Lindsay; grandchildren, Jeff Williams and wife, Amy, Joy Williams and Sandy Williams; and great-grandchildren, Roy Thomas Williams and wife, Jennifer and Jacob Allen Williams; numerous nieces and nephews and close friend, Nancy Lewis.
