Christine Alyssa Byrnes, 18, of Westfield was called into the arms of angels Sunday after an auto accident. She attended Westfield schools and graduated from Westfield High School in 2006. She was a student at Holyoke Community College and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. She leaves her loving parents, Jim and Patty and beloved brother Sean. She also leaves her paternal grandparents James and Gertrude Byrnes of Holyoke. Her loving aunts and uncles, Bonnie Sanderson of Cahirciveen Ireland, Lorri and Gary Perkins of Reading, PA, Cathy and Paul Courchesne of Chicopee, Barbara and Mike Sopet of South Hadley, Tom And Debbie Byrnes of Westfield, Bill and Ann Byrnes of Chicopee, Ann and Paul Moriarty of North Adams along with many caring cousins. Her vibrant personality and beautiful smile will be missed by her many close friends and family. The funeral services for Christine will be Thursday at 9:00 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church 335 Elm Street, Westfield at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Westfield. Christines family will receive family and friends at the funeral home from 4-8pm on Wednesday. Memorial contributions can be made in Christine's honor to the "Miles of Smiles" Rays of Hope team that she named and participated in c/o Baystate Medical Center, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01199 or to the Amelia Park Children's Museum at 99 Elm Street P.O. Box 931 Westfield, MA 01085.
