Doris graduated high school at Crozier Tech in Dallas. While working for a law firm in Dallas, she met the love of her life, Jimmie Loden. They married on July 19, 1957. He went on to become Country Music Hall of Fame artist, Sonny James. These two loved their Lord first and foremost and it was apparent whenever you were around them. Their love for each other meant holding hands and they were always holding hands.
Doris is survived by sisters, Sally and Betty, brother in law Jerry, and her nieces and nephews.
Services were held on September 26, 2017 at the Hackleburg Church of Christ in Hackleburg, AL. Internment was at the Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg next to her beloved husband, Sonny.
