The Nedalls' daughter was born in London on January 23, 1928. She was the first American child baptized in St. George's chapel at Windsor Castle and at the same font where King Charles II was christened, thanks to Nedall's friendship with the dean of Windsor. She made her first public appearance with her husband since the birth of her daughter in London's play "Square Crooks" in March 1928. Blakeney was never out of work in London's theaters. The critic and the audience both adored her. She starred in twelve British films between 1933 and 1939. In her film debut, "Her Imaginary Lover," she starred with her husband, Bernard Nedell. After moving to Hollywood, she appeared in thirty-four films from 1940 to 1958. Blakeney had minor roles in thirty-four television shows throughout the 1950s, with eighty-four appearances.
