Virginia (Louise) Gregg Painter joined her loving husband, parents, brothers, sisters and other loved ones for a heavenly reunion.
Mrs. Painter passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at The Homestead of Denison. She was born August 18, 1926 in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Arley and Mary Corbitt Gregg. She married Billy C. Painter in Denison, Texas in 1956. He preceded her in death in July 1996. Mrs. Painter was a life long member of Harless Memorial United Methodist Church, Denison, Texas and a life long resident of Denison.
She was involved in several organizations: The Golden Girls, Active in Annual Golden Rule School Reunion, Women's Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars at Pottsboro and United Methodist Women.
Survived by son, Dennis Gregg, wife Shirley, their children, Troy, Shannon, Cristen and Leah; son, Steven Gregg, wife Linda, their children Tiffany and R.C.; daughter, Lisa McBride, husband Rodger, their children Shawna, Joshua and Tisha; daughter, Rhonda Painter Youngblood and son Kristopher; sister Mary Frances Gladen of Sherman; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 9, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Sherman. Rev. Bill Brown will officiate. Interment will follow.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Bratcher Funeral Home.
