Daniel Jarrett (1725), was born in Lawnes Creek Parish, Surry County, Virginia, son of John Jarrett, Elder of Southwark Parish. Daniel Jarrett moved to Mecklenburg County, North Carolina at an early age. (Anson County until 1763.) Daniel was the builder of the Dutch Buffalo Creek Church.

This reference comes from "A Partial History of The Jarrett Family" compiled by Jay G Jarrett (now deceased) and Morris S Yoder. This is only a fraction of the information that is contained in the book. The oldest book that I have seen was compiled: August 1, 1952. Records to substantiate the writings of Jay Jarrett and Morris S Yoder are fairly accurate. Records prove the remaining.
