Julie Ann Koziel nee Dopp, 41 of Lake In The Hills battled the most serious type of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) since she was first diagnosed in January of 2017.
She was an inspiration to so many with her strength, grace, dignity, and will to survive. She passed away on Monday August, 28th, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. from complications of pneumonia and a severe infection in her lungs. Her mind and heart were so much stronger than her body after battling this disease for 7 months.
Her greatest joy was taking care of the loves of her life – her husband, Bob, and her two sons, Kyle and Blake. Julie was loved by many for her continual positive outlook on life (despite her circumstances) and her sense of humor. She was a role model for all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Her ready smile and beautiful eyes captivated the hearts of many. She will be greatly missed - particularly by those whose lives are shattered that are left behind without her presence – her husband, boys, parents, sisters, family and friends.
Julie is survived by her beloved husband Bob, loving children Kyle Austin Koziel and Blake Ashton Koziel; parents Craig and Judy Dopp of Lincoln IL; dearest sisters Deanna (Bradley) Kane and Christina (Ryan) Dexter; treasured nieces and nephews Dakotah, Alexis, and Brooklynn Kane, Chase, Cruz, and Dash Dexter, Macy and Reese Koziel.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to support her sons' college funds and would be greatly appreciated. A visitation will be held Saturday September 2, 2017 from 1-6 P.M. at Willow Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1415 W Algonquin Rd., Algonquin IL.
Prayer service at 6 P.M.
Cremation rights to be accorded. For more information call 847-458-1700 or sign the guestbook at willowfh.com
