Mr. Miller had worked as a heavy equipment operator and had served as the Presiding Commissioner of Pulaski County; he had been owner and operator of Witmore Farms Restaurant as well as being a professional farmer. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 513, St. Louis for over 50 years and a member of the Cave State Cruisers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Miller include: his wife, Diane Miller of the home near Crocker; his four daughters and three sons-in-law, Tina and Leroy Stracner, Pitkin, Louisiana; Kathy Miller-Helms; Lisa and Steve Combs and Mary and James Shockley, all of Crocker; his brother, Chris Miller, Crocker; two sisters, Shirleen Denham, El Paso, Texas and Elsie Smith, Wainwright, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with one expected in the near future; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017 and from 10 - 11 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 with the funeral service Friday, September 1, 2017, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with Bro. Bill Claiborn, Hilltop Christian Union Church officiating.
Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery near Crocker under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Back Pack Program for Crocker Schools or the Loving Paws Animal Shelter with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
