CAMPBELL – Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the Wasko Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, for Rose M. Abeid, 87, who passed away Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Main Campus.
Rose was born Jan. 31, 1925, in Struthers, the daughter of Graziano and Grace Mazzocco Graveno and was a life long area resident.
She was a 1943 graduate of Struthers High School.
Besides being an excellent homemaker, she was very active with the Campbell PTA when her children were attending Campbell Schools.
Rose was a member of the church and an avid golfer with the Suburban Ladies, a league bowler, a member of several card clubs and enjoyed walking.
She lived for her family and was especially the happiest when she was attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, school and social activities.
Rose leaves to cherish her memory, her life long sweetheart and husband, Thomas J. Abeid, whom she married May 27, 1944; four children, Tom (Nancy) Abeid of Campbell, Paulette (Chuck) Beshara of Coitsville, Gary (Cheryl) Abeid of Campbell and Sharon (John) Mazias of Campbell; nine grandchildren, Bryan, Brett, Chad, Justine, Jessie, Michael, Jaclyn, Maria and Anthony; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace (John) Powers of Indiana; a sister-in-law, Jennie Abeid of Boardman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Cora Garcia and Margaret Abeid; twin sisters in infancy, Cora and Rose Graveno; and a brother, Salvatore Graveno.
Rose’s family would like to thank all their family and friends for being so kind and supportive during the last two months.
The Abeid family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Cora Garcia and Margaret Abeid; twin sisters in infancy, Cora and Rose Graveno; and a brother, Salvatore Graveno.
