Mass for Bernard J. Moonan Sr, age 80, a former Chicago pharmacist and onetime city electrical worker, will be said at 9:30am Saturday in Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 103rd Street and Central Park Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL. Mr. Moonan, who had lived for 14 years in Paddock Lake, Wis., died Wednesday in a Wisconsin nursing home. A former South Side resident, he operated a drug store at 2201 S. Wentworth Ave., in the Chinatown area, from 1938 to 1972. He was also an electrical worker for the City of Chicago from 1950 to 1972. Survivors include his wife, Veronica; two sons, Donald and Bernard Jr.; a brother and five grandchildren. Chicago Tribune Friday, September 19, 1986.
