Services were held at 11am today in Allen Chapel AME Church, Elizabeth, for William W Batch, of Elizabeth, RD 4, who died Thursday in McKeesport Hospital. He was 81.

Mr Batch was born Nov 13, 1899, in Elizabeth, a son of the late Fred R Batch and Ida May Butcher Batch.

He was a retired postal worker.

Mr. Batch was a member of the Allen Chapel AME Church, Elizabeth, which he served as a former Sunday School superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Lee Batch, at home; five daughters, Olive Micheaux of Elizabeth, Willa Pinnix and Laura Bell, both of Pittsburgh, Lorene McCrae of Monessen, and Charlotte Nelson of Wilkinsburg; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends were received Saturday and Sunday at the Walter S Waters Funeral Home, Clairton.

Rev Leon Edwards officiated at today's services

Burial was in Roundhill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
