Paul R. (Dick) Seeman Jr., 84, of Uniontown Pennsylvania died peacefully March 3, 2011 at his home in Peachtree City, Georgia.
Born on November 2, 1926 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania he was the son of Paul R. Seeman Sr. and Mary Zundel Seeman."Dick" graduated from Mercersburg Academy in 1944 and attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) until enlisting in the Army Air Corps during World War II where service took him to Guam and the South Pacific.He opened a Packard garage in Connellsville, Pennsylvania.Afterwards, he joined his dad in the Uniontown Packard garage and at Seeman Tire Company.When Packard went out of business, he and Herb Guyton opened the United Leasing Company. The company endured more than 20 years.He served on the Uniontown School Board in the late 1960s early 1970s."Dick" was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church."Dick' survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Patricia Everhart Seeman. Their four surviving children include Paul R. Seeman III, James Seeman, Sandra Hudson and husband David of Springfield, Virginia and Tricia Laskey and her husband John of Peachtree City, Georgia.He is also survived by two sisters: Suzanne King and Paulette Price of Uniontown. There are six grandchildren: Jamie Hudson, Craig Hudson, Ryan Laskey, Tyler Laskey, Zach Laskey and Leah Laskey.Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA 15401 where the family will receive friends today from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m.Visitation will continue in the THIRD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 425 Union Street, on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 10 until 11 a.m. followed by a Service celebrating Dick's life at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Chris Enoch officiating.Military Rites and Honors will be accorded by General George C.
