Larkin L. Ervin, 72, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away at his home on Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born on February 16, 1945, the son of John R. & Ada (Hoskins) Ervin in Balkan, Kentucky. On June 20, 1970, he was united in marriage to Cathy Chesney in Pontiac, Michigan. He was employed by Tower Automotive in Elkton, Michigan as a Press Operator until his retirement. He has lived in Gladwin County for the past 15 years previously residing in Bad Axe, Michigan. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years: Cathy Ervin of Beaverton, Michigan; brothers: Delano Ervin of Corbin, Kentucky; Raymond (Pam) Ervin of Rosehill, Virginia; John (Janet) Ervin of Oxford, Michigan; George (Lola) Ervin of Columbia, Tennessee; sister: Oppie (Hood) Clark of Inkster, Michigan; sister in-laws: Zetta Ervin of Calvin, Kentucky; Lina Ervin of Path Fork, Kentucky; Sharon Brown of Keego Harbor, Michigan; brother in-law: John (Marlene) Chesney of Clarkston, Michigan; mother in-law: Annabell Chesney of Gladwin, Michigan; several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Hubert, Paul, J.B., Jackie, Jerry, Argen; sister: Sally Barnett. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Don Smith on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017, from 3-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. He will be laid to rest at Port Austin Township Cemetery, Port Austin, Michigan.
