Wanda Nell Brashear Samuels, age 81, of Mt Sterling, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling.

She was born July 20, 1936, in Campton, a daughter of the late Willie and Pearl Banks Brashear. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Brashear, and three sisters, Audrey Combs, Bonnie Baker, and Oda Pence.

Wanda is survived by four daughters, Wanda (Tommy) Combs of Campton, Paula (Bobby) Miller of Sandy Hook, Karen (Eddie) Henderson of Mt. Sterling, and Jackie (Keith) Rogers of Stanton; two sisters, Rosetta Lenke of Panama City, Florida, and Jean Fasang of Winchester; seven grandchildren, Renee Davidson, Jason Coffey, Matthew Combs, Caitlin Coffey, Jennifer Miller, Eddie Tyler Henderson, and Todd Alan Rogers; nine great grandchildren, Keegan Snowden, Cameron Snowden, Kevin Ray Davidson, Kayla Davidson, Landon Sexton, Leah Rae Coffey, Caleb Paul Cox, Brayden Keith Rogers, and Nola Combs; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Wanda was a homemaker and former cook at the Senior Citizens Center in Campton. She was of the Church of God faith and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending special times with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Kenneth Cockerham officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Eddie Tyler Henderson, Eddie Henderson, Jason Scott Coffey, Bobby Miller, James Keith Rogers and Todd Alan Rogers

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
