Deborah was born in St. Ignatius, Montana, on the Flathead Indian Reservation where she was an enrolled member of The Salish-Kooteni Tribe. Deborah moved to Oregon with her family in 1959, first living in an old homestead up Honey Creek before moving to Winston. She attended all 12 years of her primary education in the Winston/Dillard School system.
Soon after high school graduation, Deborah started working for Dr. Harry Vandermark of Winston, OR, where she ran his front office. She worked there until the time of Dr. Vandermark's death. Deborah then ventured out and went to work for Dr. Thomas Harpole, a G.I. doctor, whom she ended up working for, for many years. Deborah enjoyed working for Dr. Harpole, who treated her like family.
Deborah had several joys in life, her animals, gardening and scrapbooking.
Deborah is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Conseula Hosey; and her parents, Merle and Dorothy Dixon.
She is survived by her sisters, Rachel Dixon and Christina Lusk; nephews, Jeremy Dixon and Christian Carson; and niece, Malissa Bro.
