Obituary - Chanute Tribune - Chanute, KS - March 3, 2007

Cecil Ralph Hawley, 81, Fredonia, KS, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 as a result of injuries he sustained in a tractor accident on the family farm near Coyville, Kansas.

He was born Dec. 28, 1925 in Iola, Kansas to Milton Marion and Gracie Mildred Thomson-Hawley.

He served as a medic in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956.

On March 28, 1958 he married Rosa Lee O'Brien. She survives, of the home.

He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Laroy Hawley, Coffeyville, KS, and Bruce Alan Hawley, Altoona, KS; a brother, Loren Hawley, Fredonia, KS; a sister, Ruby Ernst, Hemett, CA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be March 7, 2007 in the Fredonia City Cemetery, Fredonia, Kansas.
