Irene Augusta Shill Balderas passed away peacefully on August 20, 2016 at the age of 78. She was a native of New Orleans and lifelong resident. She graduated from Nicholls Senior High School in 1956. She is survived by her children Daniel J. Balderas, Jr. and Lisa Balderas Ledet; grandchildren Arthur T. Ledet (Katie) and David J. Balderas (Sara Pineda); great grandson Juan D. Pineda and great grand dogs Gus-Gus and Bam-Bam Gardere-Ledet; and sister Annie Shill Bruno. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Daniel J. Balderas, Sr. as well as her parents David B. Shill and Cecilia Mae Shill; and 8 siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy, Kenner, LA 70065 on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.; followed by inurnment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
