After completing high school in Richfield, Utah he moved to Salt Lake City where he met Jual Hoopes from Fairview. They were soon married and traveled the world together as Tony served his country in the United States Army for 34 years.
While serving in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and the Army Commendation Medal. Since retiring from the Army in 1984, he has lived in Bedford.
Tony exemplified service to country, community and family. He cared for his wife Jual, at their home during her struggle with cancer until she passed away July 1997.
Tony is survived by his five sons.
He was interred in the Bedford Cemetery with full military honors.
