Mary Jane Sauley Bear, 75, of Madison died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at her residence.
She was born June 21, 1931, in Corydon, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Elizabeth Cruft Sauley. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William Bear; one daughter, Mary Danna Ferguson and her husband, Larry, of Madison; four sons, David E. Bear and his wife, Ada, of Madison, Michael W. Bear and his wife, Joni, of Madison, Grant M. Bear and his wife, Kim, of McLean, Va., and Chris A. Bear of Great Falls, Mont.; one sister, Norma S. Casey of Fairfax, Va.; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jeffrey S. Bear, in 1973.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lytle Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the service Thursday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Jeffrey Bear Memorial Scholarship Fund. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
