Rev. Frank J. Carlson, 75, Iron Mountain, Mich., died Sat., Jan. 21, 1978, after a short illness. Born July 18, 1902, in Irwin, PA., son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carlson. Married Stella Nelson in Rockford, Nov. 16, 1932. Graduate of Uppsala College and Augustana Seminary in 1932. He was the pastor of First Lutheran Church, Prophetstown, from 1932-1936. Since 1953, he has served as pastor for various Lutheran churches in the Iron Mountain area and as the Protestant chaplain for Veterans Administration Hospital, Iron Mountain.
Survivors include his wife, Stella; three sons, Donald P., Rev. David F. Carlson, and Daniel; 10 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Dora Frederickson.
