"Susie" was the daughter of William McCleod and Ermine Waddell Laney Ware. She was born in Bainbridge, GA., and reared in Fitzgerald, GA. She graduated from Agnes Scott College in 1958, and had lived in Greensboro for six years. She was the accompnist for the Fitzgerald High School Glee Club, and sang in various glee clubs and church choirs throughout her adult life. She was active in numerous organizations, and enjoyed tennis, golf, bridge, the stock market and reading. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: husband of 48 years, William Ray McGinty, Jr., - a son, William Ray McGinty 111, - daughters, Rhonda Lynn Cecil and Donna Ware Morrison. Brother, William Fleming Ware, and two grandsons and two step grandchildren.
Cause of death: Pancreatic Cancer.
