Naya E. Buchanan, 13, of Ooltewah, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Vanderbilt hospital. She was a vibrant 6th grader, at Hunter Middle School. She was preceded in death by grandmother, Jamesetta Buchanan. She leaves to cherish her memory; mother, Rodnika Buchanan; father, Donald "DJ" Buchanan, Jr.; brother, Daylen Eugene; sister, Raegan Janae; grandmother, Valerie Howell, of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandfathers, Jerome Howell, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Donnie Buchanan, of Knoxville; great-grandmothers, Ruby (Cecil) Hines and Bobbie Clark, both of Chattanooga; a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins; other relatives, and friends. Visitation is today, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service is Thursday at 1 p.m. at Olivet Baptist Church, with Bishop Kevin L. Adams, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
