Marriann was the daughter of the late Edwin and Thelma (Shireman) Eberle. She married Kenneth "Jake" Jacobs on February 21, 1953, in Coshocton, Ohio.

She was a homemaker and raised seven children, and with unwavering love, waited on her husband of more than fifty years. She happily took the role as the family matriarch, hosting Sunday breakfasts for all of her children and grandchildren. She dedicated herself to her family, and will be remembered for her creative Easter Egg hunts, her homemade extravagant birthday cakes, her treasured had-painted nativity sets, and her hand made greeting cards.

She drove a school bus for Orrville City Schools for twenty-five years. Every student on her route was considered on of her own, and she loved to watch them grow into adults.

Marriann truly loved everyone she met, and became "Grandam Jacobs" to all children, whether related to her or not. She never met a baby or a dog that she didn't want to hold.

She was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church, Orrville. She enjoyed playing cards with the senior group at the YMCA, and she especially loved to play euchre, which she mysteriously always won through coded coughs and winks. She also loved to dance, and was one of the first on the dance floor at every wedding she attended. (She asked for a final dance with her youngest son, Dean, just a couple hours before her passing)

She loved to watch sprint car racing, specifically when her sons and grandsons were competing. She supported her family's motorsports pursuits, so much so that she purchased her husband's first race car for him to start his career. She became a familiar face at race tracks all across the country, even winning the ladies Late Model title at Wayne County Speedway in 1973. One of her favorite memories was when she and her husband both won on the same night.

Marriann lived abundantly, joyfully, and with much generosity and kindness toward everyone.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her seven children, Kathy (Dan), Kenny (Kim), Susan (Mark), Lola, Bud, MaryBeth (John), and Dean; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers, Wayne, Ed, and David; sisters, Sally and Jessi; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Marriann's family wishes to thank her caregivers, Leslie Moore and Jenifer Snure, and the staff at LifeCare Hospice for their care for her during her last days.
