When Warren was three the family moved to the Klamath River in Siskiyou County. Warren attended the Honolulu Elementary School on the Klamath River and graduated from Yreka High School. He served both the Navy and Merchant Marines in World War II. Warren worked in the lumber industry in Northern California and after retiring from Sierra Pacific Lumber in Hayfork he and Ruth moved to Anderson for a time. They later moved to Yreka where he enjoyed renewing old friendships. Warren was a good husband, good father, good friend, hard working honest man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, backpacking, Louis L'Amour and John Wayne. Warren had a great sense of humor.
