Agnes Anderson, 96, of Clearbrook, died on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Center.
She was born March 2, 1906 at Holst Township, Clearwater County, the daughter of Edwin and Anna (Christiansdotter) Erickson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended District #64 country school in Holst Township.
She married Clarence Anderson on March 2, 1926 at Bagley. They moved to a farm by Bagley and farmed from 1945-946. They bought and ran "Home Cafe" in Clearbrook from 1947-1960. She went to work as a nurses' aide at the Good Samaritan Center from 1962-1985. She entered the Good Samaritan Center as a resident in 1994 where she has lived ever since.
She was an active member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook. Senior Citizens Center, Good Samaritan Auxiliary, Melvin Johnson American Legion Auxiliary in Clearbrook and the Singles Club at Fosston. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, embroidery, and watching baseball and basketball.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lorraine Brewington of Coon Rapids, Minnesota and Harriet (Olaf) Tveitbakk of Clearbrook, two sisters, Cora Herrigstad of Oak Harbor, Washington and Jean Moen of Clearbrook, six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son Edmund, two brothers Harold and Ernest, a sister Hilda and two sons in law.
