Robert Gus Hicks, 59, of Phoenix, Arizona, fought a long battle of cancer and now has gone to rest in heaven. He enlisted in the USMC in 1967 and served until he was honorably discharged with 2 Purple Hearts in 1970. He passed on February 11th surrounded by his wife Ping, mother and father Merce and Les, daughter Karen, stepdaughter Lisa, sisters Patti and Barbara, brother-in-law Larry, grandsons Christopher and Matthew, nephews, nieces, cousins, godson, and many more who loved him. Scripture Service 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 20th, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Graveside Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Gus, Rest in Peace. God speed your love, see you on the other side Daddy.
