Clarence Bennitt "Buster" Burton, age 74, of Germantown, Kentucky, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, in Maysville, Kentucky. Born in Mason County, Kentucky, on March 21, 1932, to the late Howard Bennitt and Roseatta Shepherd Burton, he was a farmer and a member of Salem Ridge Methodist Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Andrew Burton. He is survived by: his wife, Marjorie Frederick Burton; a son, Russell Burton; a daughter, Bonnie Sue (Joey) Shepherd Poe, of Bracken County; two grandchildren, Chasity Nicole Shepherd and Cierra Lee Poe; a niece, Crystal Dawn Maness; and two nephews, William Bennitt Burton and Rusty Dale Burton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the County Funeral Home, in Mount Olivet. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
