Lajoy Hauser passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2016, at the age of 88. She enjoyed line dancing, sewing, the arts, auctions, socializing and spending time with family & friends. Her outgoing and charming personality enabled her to make friends with ease. She loved shopping, and she shopped ALOT. Lajoy had a flair for fashion, exquisite taste & sense of style creating her own unique & glamorous look. She was a proud, long-time member of Community Bible Church. She was married for 61 years to the love of her life Richard Hauser. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughters Bonnie Hauser (Nick) Dixon and Joanette Hauser (Boyce) Atkinson, four grandchildren Erika Ward, Chad Dixon, Cherie Tan and Cortney Caudill, five great-grandchildren, sister Mrs. Tommy Lee Burch, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richard D. Hauser, son Reagan S. Hauser, grandson Derek C. Dixon, granddaughter Carrie Atkinson, mother Mary M. Reagan, father Thomas H. Reagan, sister Mary Fern Hood, maternal grandparents Robert and Alvina Murphy, and great-grandparents Jeorg and Fredricke Buchsenschutz.

Descendent of Georg Heinrich Buchsenschutz, a Mexican-American War veteran, and wife, Friederike Schulmeier, who are buried in the historic Texas family cemetery established in 1881, Atlas #5507013797 (2001); cemetery located on the original farm homestead in Wetmore, Texas, now incorporated into the northside city of San Antonio.
