Raymond Breshears went home to be with his Lord on Nov. 14, 1997 after a lengthy illness. He was staying with his daughter and caregiver, Ruby LeMoin. Raymond was born at Fair Grove, MO, on October, 30, 1909, to parents William and Lucinda Webster Breshears.
He moved to Napa in February 1943, going to work at Basalt Shipyard where he learned the pipefitter trade. He continued in this work until retiring from Kaiser Steel Pipe in 1974. He had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1948.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jessie Morgan, on Jan. 31, 1994.
He is survived by the couple's only child, Mrs. Ruby LeMoin of Napa; brother, Clifford, and sister-in-law Velma Breshears, of Fair Grove, MO.; two grandchildren, Bill Ringer of Stockton and Melody Bingham of Napa; five great-grandchildren, Amy Ringer, Adam Ringer, and Bret Ringer of Stockton, and Stacy Bingham and Scott Bingham of Napa.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday at 11 am at Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel, 623 Coombs St. The Rev. Dr. James B. Davis, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Tulocay Cemetery.
