Jack was born in March of 1934 in Decatur the son of William and Ada Bledsaw.
He graduated from Lakeview High School. After serving in the U.S. Army 1956-1962 he worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for 32 years. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and served as an Elder and Treasurer in Decatur.
Jack married Lois Foll in October of 1959. She preceded him in death in December
of 2010.
Surviving are his children, Laura (Eric) Wood of Decatur, Lana (Ulises) Gonzalez of Bolingbrook, IL., Dan (Colleen) Bledsaw of Kalamazoo, MI., Lisa (Tony) Nelson of Bolingbrook, IL., grandchildren, Seth and Samuel Wood, Alyssa and Zena Gonzalez, Katlin and Jackson Nelson, Brandon Bledsaw, niece, Pam Hinton, friends, Lum and Mary Tipsword and Bill Young, many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, wife, son, Jack Bledsaw Jr., sisters, Beula Giles, Eva Gallaway, and Vivian Bundy, brothers, Don , Walt and Ralph Bledsaw.
