Mary was born February 18, 1951, the only daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Allen in East St. Louis, Illinois. She grew up
in Coloma, graduating from Coloma High School. Mary worked at Modern Plastics and VM before going to Coloma Frozen
Foods for many years until she found her true calling in health care working for Juniper, Lakeland, and Spectrum health care
systems. Outside of work Mary enjoyed reading, knitting and watching movies. She also enjoyed spending time with her
family which includes: her mother Margaret (Paul) Soderborg of Coloma; six brothers Dr. Otis Allen of Bloomington, IL,
Larry (Debbie) Allen of College Station, TX, Steven Allen of College Station, TX, David Allen of Coloma, John (Calista)
Koneff of Hudson, OH, and Michael (Michelle) Koneff of Coloma; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary died Monday, February 27, at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven Highlands.She is preceded in death by her father
Benjamin Allen and two brothers Martin Andrew Allen and Benjamin J. Allen Jr. "Skip". Funeral services will be celebrated
Friday, March 3 at 2:00 PM with visitation prior starting at 1:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Burial will
follow in Watervliet Cemetery. .
