Olive Marian (Jones) DeKellis was born on Oct. 8, 1918 in Dillon, Montana. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2007 after a long and fruitful life. She leaves behind her son, John Wynn DeKellis (Cindy); daughters Lynda Gay DeKellis and Karen Kay Cruz (Albert); 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Another son, Thomas Edward DeKellis, pre-deceased her. Marian's interests include tap dancing, writing poetry, and flying. She was to become a member of the Women's 99 Flying Club. Marian worked at Arizona State University where she would later earn her teaching degree. A long time resident of Tempe, AZ, she taught in the Roosevelt School District in Phoenix AZ. Marian will be interred with her father, Edward Wynn Jones and her sister, Ada Ruth Zachary at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MSUD Foundation (Marian's great granddaughter's Research Foundation, www.msudresearchfoundation .org), P.O. Box 2512, Gilbert AZ 85299 or to RTA Hospice, 511 South Mud Springs, Payson AZ 85541.
