She left behind her husband Lewis E. Wasem. They were married on June 18, 1966. Also surviving are her daughters Traci (Wasem) Fox and Kelli (Wasem) Dennis.
Her parents were Robert T. and Mae E. (Stebleton) Shupe. Her brothers are Ramon and Robert Shupe. She was preceded in death by her infant sister Karen and her brother Rex Shupe.
Roberta graduated from Amanda High School and Ohio University Lancaster Branch. She worked for 10 years in the office of Dr. F. C. Ayers of Amanda and then she worked as a librarian at Pickerington Elementary School for 14 years. She was a member of the Fairfield Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. She loved family history.
She died at the Ohio University Medical Center.
