HERRENSMITH, KENNETH R., 68, of Okolona, passed away Monday, February 5, 2007 at his residence. He was a mechanic for P. Lorillard Tobacco Company. He served in the Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Velma Herrensmith; one son, Damon R. Herrensmith (Jennifer); two brothers, John T. Herrensmith Jr. (Francis) and Harry G. Herrensmith (Melinda); two sisters, Mary Jo Higdon and Elizabeth Markwell; and one grandson, William Herrensmith. His funeral service will be noon Thursday at The Chapel of Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy., with entombment at the Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville.
