Noted automotive writer. One of the first to write automotive performance test reviews and analyses which he did in colorful language for the now defunct Mechanix Illustrated (a Fawcett Publications periodical) from the 1940's to the early 1970's. McCahill also published Tom McCahill on Sports Cars (1951); Modern Sports Car (1954); Today's Sports and Competition Cars (1959); and, What You Should Know About Cars (1963).
