Aaron Parker Ballew, 79, born in Richmond, KY and son of the late James William and Talitha Huguely Ballew died Sat.

He was a 21 year veteran of the US Air Force, a retired employee of the VA Medical Center and a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence V. and Johnie E. Ballew.

Survivors are 2 daughters, Cecil L. Ballew-Ford and Karen D. Ballew; 2 step-daughters; five grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, all of Bryan/College Station, TX; sisters, Thelma B. Miller and Lillian B. Gentry; brother, James T. (Annell) Ballew; a sister-in-law, Mary Ballew, all of Lexington, KY; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The family may be reached at 859-252-3324. Funeral services will be at 11am Thu at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Visitation Wednesday from 6-8pm at the O.L. Hughes & Sons Mortuary.
