"I, Geneva D. Weirich of Howell, Mi, went to be with our Lord and Savior, July 11, 2022 after an extended illness."

I am the daughter of the late Robert Andrew Champ and Shirley Jean Pennington-Champ, both are deceased, and now are gonna have to put-up with me!

I am survived by two sons David R. Weirich of Williston, N.D. and G. Bruce(Candice) Weirich of Jena, La., one granddaughter, Jayda and one grandson, Keenan.

I am also survived by two sisters, Diana S. Biermann of Webberville, Mi. and Rosa M. Champ of Goshen, In., two brothers, William "Bill" A. Champ of Howe, In. and Roger A. Champ Sr. of Harpers Ferry, W.V., one niece and nine nephews, (you know who you are!)

I had also lived in Smoke Holes/Petersburg, W.V.; Goshen/Syracuse, In. and Mesa/Tempe, Az.

You would not meet a harder worker than me. Some of the places I worked over the years was Johnson Controls, Goshen, In., Fairmont Homes(as dispatch secretary), Nappanee, In. and Big Wheel in Syracuse, In. Sometimes I had 2-3 jobs at once.

I always had a great sense of humor and always tried to make everyone laugh. Among the things I liked to do, number one was to learn, people used to tease me because I carried a dictionary in my car and purse, and what I didn't know I would soon find out! I also liked to travel, jog, draw, paint, boat, swim, hike, fish, read, cook, and crochet...the list is endless but like I always said, you don't really start living until you die, and I am a firm believer in GOD.

"The most important thing in my life was my sons and family."

What I mostly want to be remembered for is having a good heart, which I fortunately passed on to my son's, along with my sense of humor. So you see, I'm really not dead because I live on in them, (scary, huh?!!)
For my boys, David and Bruce, I will "ALWAYS" be with you and I always wanted these to be my last words, so here goes..."I love you."

A private memorial service was held at Borek Jennings Funeral Home in Hamburg, Mi.
My wish is to be cremated and the ashes spread at an undisclosed location. My memorial Angel is placed on my mother's (Shirley Pennington Sower's) grave stone, at Maysville Cemetery in Maysville, W. Va., but there's "No-Body there!"

Art is captured on a canvas, just as life is captured within each unique person.
"I better be very loved and missed by my family and friends"
