Survivors include his daughters, Nina (Williams) Ward and her husband, Paul, of Beech Grove, and Clarice (Williams) Sparks of Whiteland; daughter-in-law, Cecile (Treadway) Williams of Crawfordsville; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. His wife of 70 years, Lillian Williams; daughter, R. Pauline Williams; and son, James Williams, Sr. preceded him in death.
He moved to Indianapolis in 1941 and worked on farms until 1962. Later, Olmer worked for the Perry Township School District until he retired in 1974. He was a member of Garfield Heights Church of Christ since 1941.
