Jackie graduated from St. Agnes High School in Springfield, Missouri, in 1959, and attained her Bachelor of Arts degree at Southwest Missouri State University in 1963.
As a lifelong educator, Jackie made a significant impact on countless students throughout her career. Jackie may have been small in stature, but larger than life in the areas of courage, endurance and human spirit.
Survivors include her father, Jack Reres; her loving husband William Collinson; sister Mary Watts; sister-in-law, Kathryn Johnson and brother-in-law, Steve Johnson; four children, Mike Sturdevant, Steve Sturdevant, Dan Sturdevant and Anne Kerby; and niece, Sarah Kalama.
Jackie adored all her grandchildren. Her smile lit the room when they came to play games, eat ice cream, and share an abundance of laughter. People were drawn to her magnetic personality. She treasured all of her friends and they in turn, were the benefactors of her wit and wisdom.
Jackie leaves a legacy of living life to the fullest with love and a superb sense of humor. The family would like to send a heartfelt appreciation to all those who provided unwavering support throughout her illness.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2007, in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri.
