Cheryl was born in Fremont, Neb., on Nov. 16, 1949, and attended school in Scribner, Neb., and the Lincoln School of Commerce. She worked for Centel Corporation in Lincoln for 17 years, and moved to San Angelo with her family in 1993.
For the past 12 years, Cheryl had been the McGill Elementary School secretary, a job that she described as her favorite. Cheryl was active in Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Praise Team. When time permitted, Cheryl enjoyed "scrapbooking" the memories gained through recent trips to Washington D.C., New York, Seattle, Vancouver and Chicago.
Cheryl is survived by her parents, Joyce and Harlan Frischie; grandmother Helen Peters of Scribner, Neb.; her brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Diane Frischie of Lincoln, Neb.; husband and son, Pat and Daniel of San Angelo; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Amanda Keefe of Chesapeake, Va.; stepson Brent Malloy and wife Chikako Sakurai, and children Mina and Kai of Cupertino, Calif.; mother-in-law Anna Malloy of Decatur, Neb.; and brothers-in-law Joe Malloy and wife Roberta and children Megan and Evan, and the Rev. Mike Malloy in Nebraska; and sister-in-law Karen Malloy of Sioux City, Iowa.
Visitation has been scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo, with funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brent Malloy, Joe Malloy, Connie Williams, Kay Towery, Don Brosig and Bob Diebitsch.
Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of San Angelo, Trinity Lutheran Church Music Endowment or the Grants to Teachers Fund all under the San Angelo Area Foundation, 2201 Sherwood Way, Suite 205, San Angelo, TX 76901.
